In Part 1 of this article series, I discussed why having a business opportunity mindset is not the best option in building a successful business, (especially online). Let me recap. Most times (but not all), the business opportunity seeker has one goal in mind - making money. With the main objective of making money, they will not be able to power through the obstacles that are bound to come up. It will be too easy to quit. Too easy to blame anything or anyone (besides yourself) for your lack of success. On the flip side, if you know that you are meant to do something besides just working the job you’re currently working now….and you have a purpose and a passion that is so powerful it cannot be stopped…then you are going to overcome whatever obstacles come your way. What does it mean, “Being A True Entrepreneur?” The main difference between the two mindsets can be summed up in one word, Growth. There are many facets to growth: dedication, kindness, discovery, wisdom, persistence, endurance, love, all qualities that can lead to increased personal development or “growth.” The true entrepreneur is not focused on ‘just getting money.’ Their main focus is to operate at their absolute peak potential. They know the money is a by-product of the growth and development they go through on a daily basis. The entrepreneur expects and conditions themselves to do the things that they need to do on a daily basis to create success in their business. Starting with the most important things first and going from there, they are laying the foundation for success. Gathering information, staying focused, reading, listening, absorbing the information they need to proceed. It’s the willingness to be challenged and work very hard that makes the entrepreneur so successful. This is what gives them the ability to stay sharp and at the top of their game all the time. It’s in their ability to cultivate or develop strength and nourish it over time, that gives true entrepreneurs an extreme advantage in creating success over the business opportunity seeker. They know that money will come as a result of their efforts to provide value to their customers. They seek to grow and develop first and watch what happens as they do that… If you want to be a true entrepreneur, and you want to achieve success in your life and business…here is what you need to do right now… Begin to love the process of becoming a true entrepreneur.
