I just love success stories. There’s this Bangladeshi woman who became an entrepreneur via microcredit help. Suhanu Chakma signs up for the ‘Chittagong Hill Tracts Rural Development Project’ which is sponsored by ‘Asian Development Bank’ and the Bangladeshi government. Through her hard work and initial loan of US$286 four years ago, she setup a grocery shop. She repaid her loan in a year and after the third loan, she expanded her business and even build a new home for her family. Again she repaid the loan in a year’s time and the last fourth loan has enabled her to even expand to other businesses. Now Chakma is now the richest person in the village, where some 500 some household resides. Cool eh … so the moral of the story, is now how much you loaned, but what you do with it that matters!
