Bright ideas are the foundation of great products and services. If you have some ideas that can be possibly converted to something big, you might seriously consider selling it to the big dogs. These people can explore your ideas and make money from them. In return, they’ll pay you premium money for your contribution.
Here’s how you can sell your ideas:
1. The first thing that you need to do is to apply for patent. This is something that can protect your ideas from being stolen. Also, pending patents can somehow make your ideas look more enticing to your target buyers.
2. Solicit feedback. Sometimes, what may look incredible to us might not even look good enough for other people. That is why, it is recommended that you ask for feedback from your friends and family members. Do they think your ideas are spectacular and truly one-of-a-kind?
3. Define your target buyers. Who are the people who might be interested on your ideas? Where and how can you contact them? What can you do to convince them to buy your ideas? You will need to have a solid idea about your potential buyers. You can use the information that you have gathered about these people in making your presentation more powerful and more impacting.
4. Email marketing and cold calling. Once you have obtained the contact information of your potential buyers, the next thing that you need to do is to contact them. Send them an email or call them up. Your goal here is to discuss with them your ideas and make them extremely valuable to their eyes. Give these people a list of all the benefits that they can enjoy should they buy your ideas.
