Lack of Family Time

In our mobile society, families seem to go ninety-to-nothing all day, every day. And all of them are going in different directions. The parents each go in different directions to work; the kids are at school or day care. And oftentimes the kids are also involved in sports, music or other extra curricular activities which demands its own investment of time. (Both for the drive time and the event itself.) In the summer the kids may spend a couple of weeks away at camp. Eventually those kids become old enough to drive and that brings an entirely new set of problems with regard to the lack of “together family time.”

What parent hasn’t, at one time or another, suddenly looked at that son or daughter and marveled at how fast he or she is growing and changing. For the most part those changes are almost imperceptible. But then all of a sudden you do a double take. “Is that really my kid? Is that my little baby?” Where do the years go; and how can they fly by so fast?

Feeling Boxed In?

Have you ever felt as though you’re losing something by being away from your kids so much? It’s a frightening feeling. It’s like you are reaching out to grab something and you come up with a handful of air. No matter how much you want to have that time with your family members, you see no way that you can change or adjust your schedule. That job, and the time you spend on that job, has you boxed in.

There have been school events you would have loved to have attended. Perhaps a sporting event you had to miss, or a drama production. This is the very reason that so many people these days are highly motivated to do whatever it takes to build their own business. A business that will, once it is set in motion correctly, create enough cash flow, (create multiple streams of income), so that that long-desired quality family time will no longer be a dream, it will be a reality.

Less Stress; More Peace

Research shows that when adults (particularly parents) spend meaningful time with kids it helps them develop a positive self-image and a sense of belonging, usefulness and purpose. And when the parents’ stress level is reduced, there is a greater sense of peace and well-being in the home. (And it’s no secret that many jobs these days make demands that cause high levels of stress.)

If this describes your situation and what you truly want for your family, keep in mind that you must take the steps to make it happen before it’s too late. (Hopefully, before they’re grown and out on their own.) Envision what your life would be like tomorrow if you did not have to go to that job. How would your family life change?

You Can Do It

Successful, work-at-home, Internet marketing entrepreneurs will be the first to tell you they would never trade what they have now in the way of quality family time. They would never want to go back to that 8-to-5 grind with the commute and all the baggage that comes with it. They enjoy being at home and being available for their children and spouse. They enjoy the freedom of coming and going where they choose and when they choose.

If your job is demanding more of you than you’re willing to give, and if you feel your family life is suffering because of it, you may want to take a serious look at finding a lucrative online business opportunity and learn how to become that successful, independent entrepreneur.

Others before you have done it. You can too!
