How do you go from being homeless with $36.00 in your checking account and less than 24 months you have a net worth of $1.5 million dollars? She’s known as the Dynamic Diva, but her real name is Elon Bomani and she is a self-made millionaire. In 2001, with her baby boy in tow, she left her husband and became homeless in a matter of seconds. Although, she was a college-educated woman, she found herself without a job, separated from her husband, no home and $36.00 in her checking account. So, why didn’t she just give up and throw in the towel? Because she knew that there was abundance for her out there. The difference between Elon and many of us is that she refused to let society determine her future. She took a huge step out on faith and left the rest to the creator. As you read the following interview you’ll see the rest is history. TST: What do you mean in your book, “I had to raise my wealth consciousness first?” DD: I had to raise my wealth consciousness first. I had to have the consciousness in order to acquire wealth. Many people don’t realize that in order to create wealth it is: 90% Wealth Consciousness and the other is 10% “How to.” Before, you start to focus on the stock market or real estate. It’s important you get your head together first when it comes to money. For example, a majority of people that win the lottery for 10, 12 or 16 million are usually broke within a couple of years. “How could that be?” If you already have a poverty conscious before you won the money and then the money shows up. Instead, of seeking a financial advisor when you get the money-you’re probably spending and making the money, but not saving or investing in anything, within a couple of years later you’re penniless and broke. We know that having money does not determine your ability to maintain wealth. However, what we do realize is that we need to start developing a wealth consciousness. Being wealthy is a reflection of love, serving your community and empowering other people in situations and circumstances. “I always tell people to think wealthy, but also speak wealthy.” For example if you say those words such as: money is the root of all evil, rob Peter to pay Paul, when you say those words you are bringing that type of wealth poverty in your mind and life and you’re eliminating the blessings that are trying to enter your life. We need to watch our words. The bible says bring life to your words through the power of your tongue. “You are either bringing life to your prosperity world or poverty to your world.” That’s why it is so important that you watch your words: We need to begin to say things such as, “Money is coming. The checks are in the mail. I am a money magnet. My income is constantly increasing.” You need to begin to act like a millionaire. Know that you can afford to be successful. You have to marinate in the wealth consciousness and develop a wealth conscious mentality.
